I have started to write a column about Japanese fashion for local newspapers!
I wrote about women’s fashion in Marunouchi, Tokyo, business district.
They are wearing conservative clothes unlike me(!) and I was surprised they are wearing high heels!
Because the current trend is “effortless” and almost “fashionable” people wear flat shoes. Women working in Marunouchi might have to show femininity to survive in a man’s world but wearing high heels needs “effort”.
In these days, conservative fashion is harder than trendy fashion…
